Frequently Asked Questions
NIDA is Tanzania's National Identification Authority. We require
it to verify the identity of every user and beneficiary registered on Delva. This ensures
legal defensibility — documents stored in your vault hold stronger weight in any dispute or
court proceeding because all parties are verified.
You can store wills, land title deeds, inheritance agreements,
bank-related documents, insurance policies, business agreements, board resolutions,
shareholder agreements, and explanatory video or audio files. All documents are encrypted at
rest and in transit.
Yes. You can upgrade at any time — your existing documents and
settings are preserved. Individual plan holders can upgrade to the Premium plan by linking
to a partner law firm. Downgrading follows the end of your billing cycle.
Your vault enters a read-only grace period of 30 days, during
which you can renew or export your documents. After that, access is suspended but data is
retained for a further 90 days before permanent deletion. We'll notify you well in advance
via email and SMS.
You define conditions when setting up your vault — for example:
"release to beneficiary X upon submission of a death certificate" or "release on
01/01/2035". When a condition is triggered, the system (and your partner law firm for
Premium plans) verifies it and automatically grants access to the designated beneficiary.
We maintain redundant AWS backups in multiple regions. Our terms
of service include a data portability guarantee — you can export all your documents at any
time. In the event of business discontinuation, a mandatory 180-day notice period and full
data export rights are contractually guaranteed.
